Sequin and Thangs

Hey babes!

Hope you have been enjoying what’s left of summer. Me myself, I’ve been nonstop. The entire month of June has been spent away from home in one form or another. But with all of that, one was remain fashionable. Haha If you have been following me on IG, you were able to see some of the moves I have been making. And with making moves, I made sure I did it with this number, the infamous sequin kimono from ASOS that made the Earth stop! Let’s pause for a moment of silence because this piece deserves just that much respect.

I first saw this kimono on my blogger boo Ren Gray, IG @ren.gray while she was vacationing earlier this summer. She styled it with her bathing suit and it was so adorable! I told her that I HAD to have it, but I had something different in mind when styling it. Oh, and if you don’t follow her, you are doing yourself a disservice! Go check her out . Any who, when I received the item, I noticed the weight of it. I was so impressed because it was super heavy but when I pulled it out of the packaging, it was like angels started singing from heaven! It was the absolute prettiest piece. The details are simply amazing. But the million-dollar question was, “Renae, when are you going to wear this and with what?” I knew I didn’t want to go too basic with all white and I also knew I wanted to edge it out a tad. After playing in my closet, I figured less is simply more. As you can see, I paired it with a plain white tee, distressed jeans and simple jewelry. During the shoot, people were honking their horns and yelling out of the window. Lol This statement piece is definitely one of a kind and something I will have for a lifetime. Oh and of course, I have yet to wear it. I only styled it for the shoot, because chile, when I tell you it is beyond hot in Dallas. I would pass out with this heavy thing on.

Look at the details!

Until next time,

Keep on styling………….
